A surface-preparation specialist gets a surface clean, sound and properly profiled before any coating goes on — because nearly every coating failure starts with a bad prep, not bad paint. We use media blasting to remove every layer of contamination down to the substrate: marine growth and antifouling on a hull, decades of paint on a frame, rust scale on steel, failed sealer in pavers, or peeling coatings on a wall.
What's left behind matters just as much as what comes off. Blasting leaves a clean, lightly textured profile that primer, barrier coat and topcoats grip — something a sander, wire wheel or pressure washer can't deliver evenly. That's the difference between a coating that sheets off in a couple of seasons and one that stays put. From there we can hand it back bare and ready, or carry it through to a finished, coated surface.
There is no single "sandblasting" that works on everything — the media is the job. The wrong abrasive at the wrong pressure can warp thin aluminum, burn through gelcoat, or etch soft wood and brick. The right media strips the coating cleanly and leaves the substrate untouched. So we match the abrasive and pressure to your material every time.
We run a full range: crushed (recycled) glass and garnet for cutting paint and rust, soda for gentle, non-abrasive cleaning on delicate and intricate parts, and dustless (wet) blasting that traps dust and knocks down heat for cleaner, cooler stripping. That flexibility is why we can take old bottom paint off a fiberglass hull in the morning and soda-blast a vintage engine block in the afternoon without a scratch.
