Bonita Springs sits between the Gulf and I-75, with the Imperial River running through downtown out to Estero Bay. Bonita Beach, Little Hickory Island, Barefoot Beach and Lovers Key take salt straight off the water, and the back bay carries humid, brackish air inland. Steel and aluminum give up first: trailer frames, gates, railings, lifts and the underside of anything parked outside.
Summer UV and the daily storm cycle finish the job, cooking paint, clear coat and paver sealer until they chalk, haze, yellow and let go. Washing does not fix that, because the problem is the failed coating, not the dirt on top of it. Blasting takes the coating off and leaves bare substrate at the profile new paint or sealer needs to grip. We run crushed glass, garnet, soda, sand and dustless (wet) blasting.
Boats here live on the Imperial River, on the canals and back bay behind Little Hickory Island, and at the dry storage and yards a short run up or down US 41. Warm brackish water means slime, barnacles and antifouling stacked layer on layer until the bottom is more paint than gelcoat. We strip bottoms on-site, as long as the hull is out of the water on stands or on its trailer.
Media and pressure get matched to the hull, so hard paint and old ablative come off without burning or gouging gelcoat, and the boat goes back with a uniform surface for barrier coat and fresh antifouling. Salt air does not stop at the beach. It rides inland past US 41 and Bonita Beach Road and works on every vehicle in town, whether it ever touches the water or not. Frames, undercarriages, floor pans, wheel wells, boat trailers and utility trailers corrode from the seams outward, and by the time it shows on the surface there is usually more of it underneath.
We blast restoration projects, classic cars, motorcycle frames, wheels, trailers and equipment back to clean bare metal so bodywork and paint start on something sound. Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing, Spanish Wells, Vasari, Palmira and Bonita National are full of brick paver and travertine driveways, lanais and pool decks, and the newer construction east of I-75 is built the same way. All of it gets sealed eventually, and in this climate that sealer clouds, whitens, flakes, yellows or turns slick underfoot. Sealing over it only locks the haze in.

The commercial side of town runs along US 41, Bonita Beach Road, Coconut Road and the I-75 exits: plazas, restaurants, storage, marine businesses, builders working the east side, and the condo and country club associations that manage their own property. Yes, and that is most of what we do here. Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing, Spanish Wells, Palmira and the newer neighborhoods east of I-75 have tight lots and manicured landscaping, so we use dustless and contained methods and mask what needs protecting. If your association wants notice or has work hour rules, tell us up front and we will work with it.
Not when the setup matches the surface. Soda or dustless for thin sheet metal, gelcoat and softer stone. Crushed glass or garnet where we need a harder cut on rust and heavy coatings. We test a small, out of sight area first so you can see the result before we commit to the whole job.
Far less than open dry sandblasting. Dustless (wet) blasting wets the abrasive at the nozzle, so dust drops instead of drifting across the yard or onto a neighbor's car. We tarp, mask and contain the work zone, then sweep and clean up before we pull out.
