SWFL Media Blasters is based in Golden Gate Estates. Our address sits in the 34117 zip, so this is not a service area we drive out to, it is where we already are. The Estates is acreage: lots well over an acre, houses set far back on long driveways, a lot of unpaved road, and properties carrying workshops, pole barns, detached garages, gates, fencing, boats on trailers, RVs and equipment that earns its keep. All of it rusts, chalks and flakes out here, between salt air, sun and dust. We strip it back to clean metal or bare wood, then prep and coat it if you want it coated. Call or text (239) 227-1768.

The Estates is our home turf

Golden Gate Estates is one of the largest platted subdivisions in the country, spread across Collier County east of Naples and split into North and South Estates. Golden Gate Boulevard, Everglades Boulevard, Wilson, Desoto, Immokalee Road and Oil Well Road move everybody around, with Big Cypress and Picayune Strand out past the last paved turn. Wells and septic are the norm here, not city utilities. So are gates, long fence lines, and a shop building holding more steel than the house does.

Our address is in the 34117 zip, which is the Estates. When you call about a tractor, a trailer or a gate, you are calling somebody who already drives these roads. That matters less as a sales line than it does for scheduling and for knowing what a job out here actually involves. See the full service area, or sandblasting in Naples just west of us.

Long driveways, open acreage, and a rig that comes to you

Golden Gate Estates is about the easiest place there is to run a mobile blast setup, and the reason is space. There is no gate attendant to clear, no shared parking lot to schedule around, and usually no neighbor close enough to be bothered by drift. We pull the rig down the driveway, stage beside whatever we are working on, set containment, and work. Equipment that would otherwise cost you a lowboy trip and a spot in somebody's shop queue just stays parked in your own yard.

What we do want to know ahead of time is the ground and the gate. Long limerock and dirt drives get soft after a wet week, so tell us if the low spot by the culvert holds water. Tell us the gate width and whether it swings or slides, and say where the piece actually sits, because behind the pole barn on grass is fine, we would just rather know first. We are based in 34117 ourselves, so none of that is an unknown quantity, and whether you are a turn off Golden Gate Boulevard or a long way down Everglades, we bring what we need to run. Power and water on site are a convenience, not a requirement. More on mobile versus shop blasting.

Heavy equipment blasted on-site by a mobile crew in Southwest Florida

Tractors, trailers and the equipment that works out here

Estates properties run real equipment: tractors and box blades, skid steers and mini excavators, brush hogs, dump and gooseneck trailers, utility trailers, work trucks, and the landscape and ag machinery that keeps acreage from going back to palmetto. It all lives outside. Paint chalks off, frames and decks scale up with rust, and the underside of a trailer that hauls anything wet rots from the bottom rail up.

We cut that back to sound metal with crushed glass or garnet, taking off rust, scale, old enamel and undercoating without the heat and hammering a grinder or a needle scaler puts into thin steel. Contractors, well and septic outfits and landscape crews who yard their machines on Golden Gate Estates acreage get the same treatment on their own property instead of losing a machine for days, whether that is off Wilson, Desoto or out toward Oil Well Road. See commercial blasting, rust removal and on-site blasting for heavy equipment.

Project trucks, RVs and the boat on the trailer

Plenty of Estates shops have a frame up on stands, a classic under a cover, a truck getting a bed swap, or a bumper and a set of wheels waiting on paint. We strip frames, undercarriages, panels, wheels and parts down to clean bare metal, matching media and pressure so thin sheet does not warp and castings do not get chewed. Soda is the gentle option when a part is delicate. RV frames, steps, bumpers and storage bay doors fall in the same category.

Golden Gate Estates has no canal behind the house, so the boats out here live on trailers rather than lifts, and they come home from the ramp with salt on everything. We take bottom paint and growth off the hull without burning gelcoat, and we hit the trailer while we are there, because the frame, fenders, springs and every bracket that touched brackish water are usually in worse shape than the boat, and out here the whole rig is already parked in your own yard. See automotive blasting, marine blasting and boat bottom paint removal.

Gates, fencing, pole barns and the house itself

The exterior list on a Golden Gate Estates property runs longer than it does in town. Entry gates and gate posts, ranch rail and wire fencing, well housings and pump stands, carport and pole barn steel, shop doors, generator pads and stands, plus the house with its own drive, walk and lanai. North Golden Gate Estates or South, the list is much the same. Painted metal out here goes the way it always goes in Florida: it chalks, then lifts at the fasteners, then streaks rust down whatever sits below it.

Wood gets its own treatment. Soda blasting lifts old stain, paint and grey off weathered timber, fascia, beams, barn siding and lanai ceilings without tearing up the grain the way sanding a whole wall does. Concrete, block and pavers come clean of failed sealer, paint and old coating the same way. See residential blasting and soda blasting, or the neighboring Naples page.

Questions

Good to know

Yes. Our address is in the 34117 zip, which is the Estates. We are a mobile outfit either way and the rig travels across Collier and Lee County, but out here we are already on the same roads you are. That tends to make scheduling simpler than it is for a crew coming from across town.

Yes, that is normal for us. Tell us at the estimate if the drive gets soft after rain, if a low spot holds water, or if a gate is narrow, and we will plan the setup around it. Most Estates properties give us far more room to stage and contain the work than a town lot ever does.

That is the whole point of a mobile rig. We set up beside the machine wherever it is parked, on grass, gravel or a slab, contain the area and work there. You do not lose the equipment to a lowboy trip and a shop queue, and nothing has to come apart for transport that does not need to.

No. We bring what we need to run, which matters out here where the nearest hose bib can be a long way from the work. If there is convenient power or water and you are happy for us to use it, say so and we will, but nothing about the job depends on it.

Common call in the Estates. Painted metal out here chalks, lifts at the fasteners, then streaks rust down the post. Blasting takes it back to sound, profiled metal so primer and coating actually bond instead of peeling off in a season. Gates, posts, ranch rail, carport and barn steel, well housings and shop doors all fall in the same job.

Far less of a concern out here than on a tight lot, and we can still run wet or dustless when there is a reason to, like working near a screen enclosure, a pool, animals, or a vehicle you do not want dusted. Out in the open away from the house, dry media with containment is usually the cleaner call.

Call or text (239) 227-1768, tell us what you have and where you are out here, and we will come look at it. Size, surface, how many layers are on it, access and whether you want it coated afterward all move the job, which is why we quote in person. On-site estimates are free.
